A small manifesto for well-being at work

 

At a time when denunciations of poor working conditions and cultures of ill-being in certain companies are multiplying, we wondered about our own situation. What does well-being at work mean, and what place do we give to benevolence at Autour de l'Image?

 

If the size of our agency certainly allows us to take an interest in each person and to have regular exchanges, to establish a climate of benevolence and personal development, it is above all a choice that we have made.

 

It is the choice to have strong values, the choice to build a team that respects and values them, the choice to adapt to a world that is constantly evolving and that does not forget the companies in these evolutions, it is the choice to listen to each other, to have the right to defend one's opinions and to showempathy when these opinions diverge

 

Finally, it is the choice tobe innovative, even in our way of working.

 

Benevolence, transparency, collaboration and agility. These are the keys to our success at Autour de l'Image. Because these four qualities intertwine and add up to make us productive, creative, innovative and above all, fulfilled.

Kindness

 

This is the key word at Autour de l'Image. Whether in the team or with our clients, we have chosen to create an environment where everyone has a place, everyone has a voice, everyone is listened to and valued.

 

This is what makes us want to go further, gives us the freedom to innovate, to test and to make mistakes sometimes, because we know that nobody is perfect and that mistakes are a source of learning.

 

We have understood that benevolence in business is a climate that favours creativity and innovation, but also a climate that strengthens our relationships, and that allows us to forge lasting bonds, both with each other and with our clients.

 

Transparency

 

We value thepersonal development and life choices of each individual. For this reason, our employees have the freedom to work wherever they want, the flexibility to adjust their schedules and timetables to suit their personal constraints, and the possibility of achieving a real balance between their professional and personal lives.

 

And this can only work if we create transparency between us to create a climate of trust. The time we dedicate to our work, we dedicate 200%.

 

This allows us to be productive, available for our clients and meet every deadline. It is because we have chosen to be personally fulfilled that we can be truly effective in our work time.

Making the choice of personal development also means exposing yourself to a geographical distance. At Autour de l'Image, we have turned this distance into a strength.

 

We adapted to this new way of working well before it became the norm (thanks COVID19!) and we have chosen to operate in an agile way, with dedicated tools, which gives full scope to the collaboration that is so dear to us.

 

Beyond being a simple methodology, it is for us a true state of mind, not only collaborative but also based on transparency, trust and the continuous search forimprovement.

 

This is also what makes us particularly adaptable to changes, developments and the expectations of our customers.

Perhaps more than a manifesto on agency well-being, it is above all a manifesto on our well-being at Autour de l'Image.

 

As Steve Jobs said, "The best things that happen in business are not the result of one man's work. It's the work of a whole team.

 

And what we would like to add is that this is especially true if it is a happy team. Because we are firmly convinced that personal development is a factor in productivity!
